lighter and lower rn sj hood

My rn sj hood is finally done. styled like most aftermarket hoods are. wider pole recess area. lowered. large rear breathers but not crazy. tapered sides. Handholds. (this one only has one- thats the way he wants it). comes with the nosepiece which is recessed around the pole and shaped to follow the hood.

made of top quality Vinylester. Stock hood weighed in at 19 with the ext holder on it but not the air tubes. This one weighs 11.5. I think I can trim that down a little more. 399.99 plus shipping.

Re: lighter and lower rn sj hood

This looks great. I saw your thread over on X but it got semi-jacked by SN guys. I'm assuming this is using a lowered bracket. I would love to go this route, but my ski had a really nice billet bracket on it when I bought it and I hate to switch it up with some of the not so great aftermarket lowered brackets out there.

What's your lead time on these hoods? Great price BTW.

Re: lighter and lower rn sj hood

less than a week. thanks and yeah I feel the same way about switching brackets. but its the only way. At least it gets rid of the stock nose piece(mine is sun dried and cracked) and lowers the pole. plus the weight savings is nice. I don't count the extinguisher as lost weight because you have to have that. I put mine in the front toehold.

I didn't mind the threadjack. give the people what they want.

Re: lighter and lower rn sj hood

introductory pricing is now over the hood will be 650.00 and will include the airtubes and nose piece. the nosepiece mounts with hidden hardware, no screws thru the part to mount it.
