Handle bar rocker switch comparison?

Anyone have personal experience with the handle bar mounted switch that Riva sells for $129.95 listed as “HD Military Grade Rocker Switch” compared to the CPI switch that many others sell for $60? From the pictures, they both look the same. Is the Riva switch really that much better? I only want this type of switch to replace the one on the ski I’m buying, and I’m not interested in all the different types of switch options and locations I’ve seen on other threads. I don’t mind spending the money if it’s really a better switch. Anyone know if there’s really a difference between Riva's and the others? Thanks.

I would use the one from wamilton, it should come with the billet housing and it mounts underneath the start/stop switch. At that location you can turn it on with your thumb. the rocker type requires you to free up a hand to turn it on. My two cents.

Re: Handle bar rocker switch comparison?

Thanks subnsxr. Actually both are the same type of switch, mounted in the same location. They both look identical, but the one from Riva is over twice as much because it's listed as "military grade". I'm just trying to find out if it really is a better switch than the one from Wamilton. I need to replace this type of switch on the ski I'm buying, so it already has the mount in place. I just don't know which one to order as a replacement.

I'm betting that they're exactly the same. Talk to john zigler or wetracer on here and see if they have one to sell you.

Re: Handle bar rocker switch comparison?

I've had the wamilton one now for a couple years and I use it at least once a week even throughout the winter and it's holding up well.
