61x engine....should I go 62t cases/intake or wetjet intake setup?

Ive got a 61x/61x engine that has a head, riva pipe, riva cdi. I can get a 62t case/intake setup for $400 or a wetjet intake setup for $300. Which should I go with?

Do I need to change anything going to a 62t. Fuel pickup? Throttle cable? Choke cable?

Did you load the 62t cylinders on your 61x cases? How did it run? Better top end?

wetjet setup is good but it's rare and wayyyy to expensive. 62t cases I believe have 10% more reed space than 61x and is a better platforn to build on. If you could get a 62t setup for a little bit more go for ir

Re: 61x engine....should I go 62t cases/intake or wetjet intake setup?

if you chose to stay single carb, go with the rare wet jet kraze setup (not the stock yami one that came on the duo) on your existing X cases. the w/j manifold has less area internally, which increases carb signal.

a 62t setup with a single carb will lose performance because the signal is less, due to the T cases having more area than the X cases.

if you want to run duals, go with the T cases.

personally, i like bigger single carbs, so id go with the w/j 46mm setup.

yes, i know this thread is 3 months old, but its still relevant.

61x cranks ported work fine with ported 61x cylinders
62t cranks work also fine with 61x ported cylinders without porting the cranks

for freestyle i will chooce 61x crankcases ported with 83mm and 46' carb
and freeride with some freestyle 61t cranks with 83mm ported cylinders with dual 38's with aftermarket springs

if you will go 62t you will need to add :

reeds ,intake ,carbs ,all the others like electrical parts 61x can fit into 62t but i will not recommened but will work
nothing else .

Keep your money change your carb and ported your crankcase
and if you want more hp ported or bore your cylinders
