Re: Dream Demo photos and comments

Here some of the new Kawi line up. They have moved the Ultra up to 260HP. Looks like the SX-R is pretty much unchanged. The have gotten rid of the 12F and sell the 15F in 2 version a base model and a deluxe model with mirrors, reverse and a bording ladder. The 15F is one of the best accelerating non supercharged skis I have ridden. The 15F is a very fun ski to ride and performs well. This is why you see them racing. It feels and rides alot smaller than it is. My only draw back is it rides very bow low at slow speed so if you have a long no wake or there is any chop at slow speed you get swamped.

Re: 2009 Kawasaki

I ride a 2008 Ultra LX that I have the same complaint with. Always makes me double check the reverse lever.

Re: 2009 Kawasaki

Anyone know where 'average joe' could go to take a demo ride? I've been a Sea-Doo/Ski-Doo guy since the sixties. Like to take the Kawi and Honda for a spin. Maybe the FZR also but not sure I can be 'one of those guys' I like the innovation though. They are getting a bit large, with less storage.

Re: 2009 Kawasaki

I was wondering if there will ever be a new kawasaki stand-up model with a 2stroke
engine, or will the sxr be the last 2stroke stand up??

Yep, its the end of the two stroke era.
The 4 stroke R&D is done an ready to produce, but its been put on the backburner till the market shows its worth putting into production.
Leave it to the Bean Counters at Kawi .......
