Rxt-x supergarger in rxt

I have a 2008 rxt and my dealer told me that instead of a stage 1 riva kit he would put in the rxt-x supergarger in my rxt and said it is much better than the riva kit. They cost about the same and he said it will give me 3-5 mph and greatly increase the acceleration. Is it worth the money?

Re: Rxt-x supergarger in rxt

I have never had experience switchng out the supercharger to the RXP-X but do know alot of people that have used all of the Riva kits both on Seadoo's adnYamaha's and everyone seem to be very happy with them. Riva spends alot of time and money on R&D to make sure the kits works before he market them.

The x charger is a 10 pound supercharger and yes it will be better than the riva stage one,It will need more fuel to keep from leaning the engine out.Hopefully they have experts that know this stuff though. You will still need a new prop cause its gonna smoke the stock rxt prop.Very good mod.

Before you spend any money, educate yourself over at GH about upgrades to the RXT platform. There are a bunch of low cost/no cost things you can do to get 3-5 mph increases.

You're running lean because you need 50lb. injectors....per the RivaRacing catalog.
