challenger 230se

Hi

I am a new member who has just bought a Seadoo challenger 230se. I am planning on keeping my boat on the sea for 3 months in the summer, I live in Portugal, the boat will be used every few days, will the sea water cause me any problems or should it be ok so long as Iook after it properly

It should be ok. The important thing will be to keep it clean. Over time things will start to grow on everything under water. You do not say what year or what engines you have but if the are 4 strokes they have a closed cooling system on everything except the exhaust systems. It would be better if you can flush them out when not using it but I know the might be difficult. The biggest thing you will have to dealwith will be corrosion. If you are always going to keep the boat in the water for long periods you may want to think about some sort of bottom paint both to prevent growth and to prevent osmotic blistering.

I am planning on taking it out every 2 weeks and giving it a jet spray. The year is 2007 2 x 230 hp engines. I mean out of the water..
