Polar bear ride Jan 1st with the Tampa club

Come out and ride with the Tampa Bay jet ski club New Years day. This is the 4th annual polar bear ride. We ride no matter what the weather is so come prepared. We will launch from Dunedin causeway and ride around clearwater, caladesi island and possibly Anclote. If you do not want to beach launch you may launch at the Seminole boat ramp just south of the Causeway in Clearwater. You can check out photos from past rides in our gallery on our webpage below. Hope to see you all out there. Ride begins at 11 am so you can sleep off the hangovers.

Oh that's going to be a rough day, what will the temp be...55 to 65 degrees. I wish I was there

Haha, that's what I was just thinking! I used to live there and it did get pretty cold but I don't know if it's fair to call it a "polar bear" ride. I go 2 hours south of there to ride all winter and it feels pretty good to me. With that being said, I wish I could go!

Last year was actually the worst with temps in the high 60's with a 30 mph wind. We have had some great rides so far. Even if it starts out the day at 45 by the time we ride at 11 am it would be in the 60's heading to 70 possibly. Thats why I still live here.
