Clearwater Beach Ride

All of us here at SBT that ride are getting together 04-18-09 to do a ride and head somewhere for lunch. We have not worked out all the details yet but wanted to invite anyone that rides in the Clearwater, Tampa area to join us. If you have wanted to go riding in the area and have not because you were not sure where to go to launch or ride after you launch this will be a great oppourtunity to get to know the area with people that know every inch of it. We are thinking we will ride 30-40 miles total round trip with a few stops along the way.We have about 15-20 skis already interested in coming and would love to have a great turnout.

Hey John, What do you think about a ride to Hooters on the water in PortRichy?

I have been on that ride before. It's beautiful and you can't go wrong with Hooters for lunch

Re: First ride of the season

We could go to Hooters or Frenchy's if we head south. Depends on if we are going to launch at Curlew causeway. If it is calm that day we can cover alot of water and even head way south to The Pub.

Re: First ride of the season

If we have a few experienced riders and a good tide we can hit all the good mangrove trails north of Anclote Island.

Re: First ride of the season

That would be a great experience for people that have never seen the trails. It is not at all like riding in a lake or along the beach.

Re: First ride of the season

Is this a family event or an adult event?

Re: First ride of the season

How about something a little more south Pinellas, like a poker run type thing starting in Clearwater running south to Fort Desoto area, beaching there for lunch, then back?
