old and new

I have just purchased my first jet ski. The last time i rode one was about 15 years ago one that i rented. It was somewhere in the 600 to 700cc range the best i can remember. I was just wandering how much of a difference there is from a ski 15 to 20 years ago and the new skis of today. The ski i purchased is the 900cc kawstx. Am i going to be blown away by the difference in power?

Re: old and new

You will be pleasantly surprised to say the least. Lots more power and the newer skis have better hull designs so much better turning and hook up better in choppy waters.

Re: old and new

The skis today also weigh nearly twice the amount as the older skis. They had to make them more powerful to push all that weight! Welcome to the forum and good luck with your new ski.
