newbie??- i have been on here for 2 years..

i have yet to post because some how it wont let me.. i have tons of kawasaki stuff to sell but it all ends up on craigs and ebay - mainly because i hate computers, and the internet, and rules, and anything that has me squinting at some twisted-font print in a grid to verify i am who i say i am.... i finally have to post on here how many times to post a classified ad?? that is a stupid rule and i hope this is better to business and i dont any A-hole telemarketers calling me from here.

Welcome.

As for telemarketers...

I wouldn't post my phone number in public on ANY forum.

Re: newbie??- i have been on here for 2 years..

Welcome

Contribute a bit to the forum and you will build up posts quickly. It doesn't take very many to be able to post in the classifieds section. You need to build up a bit of a rep before you just jump in and start trying to sell parts, or most people won't deal with you anyways.

There are many people that just join sites to sell parts...contribute absolutely nothing to the forum. Don't be one of those guys. There are also guys that join, sell a few parts and then just leave. The requirement is there to protect everyone.

Enjoy!

Re: newbie??- i have been on here for 2 years..

hey i have given plenty of advice over the years, i just dont give away all my tricks to some yabo i havent really met, otherwise it will probably come back and bite me in the beeehind. i could not contribute when i thought i could help with some decent used parts-- selling used parts is just biz right?? simple, bad parts= bad reputation. you can leave bad feedback like ebaye if someone sucks and is a rip off artist-- you should be able to tell everyone about it on here too. just seems unfair to a non-typer non-computer savvy mechanic... thank god for spell check is all i can say, or no one would be able decipher what i am even trying to say.

Yes, Bad parts= bad rep..But what good does that do when it takes roughly a week or so for deals to truly go bad? Someone joins, sells a bunch of parts then they are gone. They couldn't care a less about bad rep.

Re: newbie??- i have been on here for 2 years..

buy parts on the internet from supposedly legit sites--do we really know who we are ever buying from?? that seems to be how it goes just about everywhere else--- at best-- you either get a good part or you get your money back-- that is how i do biz with a stranger or my friends... even ebaye with their payapl guarantee cant really guarantee you anything but a headache.. part not as described, part didnt arrive, shipping was supposed to be FREE-- i love that one! all those fees and great used parts too-- ha

i was on craigslist for a while, but that is just so disorganized - its ridiculous, even with search tempest. see that is why i am all for requiring at least a phone number to make sales on here go smoother and avoid complications and typos.

Most people on here only deal with legit/known businesses when it comes to buying parts off of other sites. If they haven't heard of it, they come on here and ask others if they have used that site or not.
