low oil alarm

hello from long island ny i just finished a rebuild on 2000 xl 1200limited.i also inst. a block off kit. my question is how to stop the low oil alarm from coming on.

Pull the float up and out of the oil tank and zip tie it in the UP (full) position. Re-install..
