I had the opportunity to meet the Iceman today, as he was out practicing for the 2009 Worlds Finals, at Body Beach. I also met his wife. They are both extremely nice people.
He is doing Freestyle, in the Amateur division, and is from the Czech Republic. You amateur guys better be on your A game. This guy is good, and he is practicing every single day.
I shot some video, and took a lot of pictures. I'll post the pictures in a little while, they're still uploading

And to those that said the Worlds Finals is just another race; Yes, you are correct, it is just another race. However, not to many other races draw people from all over the world, like this race. Here's another analogy; for Nascar fans, the Daytona 500 is just another race. For NHRA fans, Indy is just another race.
For CART fans, the Indy 500 is just another race.
You see where I'm going with this?? Sure, it's just another race, but it is a significant race, and one in which many would like the honor of winning. Please don't "cheapen" our sport by saying that the WF's is just another race.
In this economy, it is more important, now more than ever, to be supportive of the Race, it's racers, sponsors, manufacturers, and sanctioning bodies. Also racers, it is even more important now, to support your fans. Because without your fans, you don't have sponsors, and without sponsors, you don't have races.
We all need to pull together and do whatever it takes to make the WF's a success. I, and a few others, started in this sport before sand was invented. And, I like to live vicariously through those that can do what I never could do. I sucked at racing, and new it. But, I love to watch, and would kill to have some of your talents and equipment. Support the race, racers, sponsors, and fans.
