Good Morning From Havasu

Good Morning World and welcome to Lake Havasu. We have a very cool 54 degrees this morning. Clear blue sky not a cloud in the sky or wisp of wind. Body Beach is perfect for radar runs!! The lake is a perfect mirror this morning. It is just another beautiful day in Paradise. The time we have all been waiting for is upon us so......

"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend......"

Yep. It does look like the back half is a bit closer this year, but that may be just an illusion with the low water level.

The other photographers aren't here yet. There is just Kay, and myself out here right now, and we both have other things to do as well as this.

I'm sure you will be bombarded with all kinds of pictures and videos very shortly. This is just kinda a "slack" time before things get really hectic.

I will be creating a separate album page for the Worlds Finals, and will just post the link to that in a post, which will be updated daily with pictures, so you might want to subscribe to it, so you know when the updates post. I will also be doing some HD video and posting it on Youtube, so you can get your video fix.

Believe me, I know what it's like to be 1000's of miles away from Havasu, and not have any news at all. We are all doing as much as we can to keep everyone informed, and still maintain our "regular duties" on the home front at the same time.

Link to my album;
http://s758.photobucket.com/albums/xx222/havasuphoto/

On the right side, you will see "Albums", just click on those albums, or subscribe to the whole thing.

Water level looks to be down about 5 feet or so from previous years. Also has been really flat lately, I can't ever remember it being so flat.

Re: Good Morning From Havasu

The Monsoon season was a non-soon. And, they had the lake level really high while they were filming Piranha 3D, so I don't think we'll see any releases from Davis Dam for awhile. But your right, it's down significantly from last year.

For those that are practicing, watch out for low level rocks!!!! There is actually a second Island under water at Body Beach, so go around the course slowly first, and look at the bottom to see how shallow it is, and where the rocks are.
