Day 4 in Havasu

From the IJSBA website:

IJSBA World Finals Journal- The First Four Days

October 13, 2009
This bulletin is a small journal entry of the last four days of World Finals.
Saturday October 10. The 2009 quakysense World Finals opened. Registration welcomed numerous new competitors. The Paddle Board race was a welcome asset to the event and the IJSBA competitors integrated into the Crazy Horse Campground smoothly. By the end of the day, the pits were well past half full.
Sunday October 11. Entries continued to climb. The vibe in the pits was really nice as a lot of people got reacquainted and new friends were made. The first riders’ meeting and spaghetti dinner was one of the most well attended with the London Bridge Resort’s King Arthur Room ending up in a standing room only situation.
Monday October 12. Entries passed the total count from 2008. Vendors started to set up in performance alley. Practice and technical inspection consumed the day’s activity.
Tuesday, October 13, was the first day of racing. It was truly one of the best opening days I can remember (even dating back to when I was a competitor). Vendors opened. There was a sizable crowd watching the Bomb Squad Batallion’s ATV jump. One rider did aerial back flips on a Polaris quad.
We ran more than 30 races today and had no ambulance transports. To put icing on the cake, we als had no transports. The following classes completed today. Congratulations to the World Champions and all of the competitors for a great series of competitions.
