Talking Safety/Support Boat Needed For Freedom Ride

Hello Everyone,

Our 2nd Annual Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride is coming up July 11th thru the 14th and we are in need of an additional 18 foot or larger boat to act as a safety/ support vessel. If you or anyone you know would want to volunteer themselves and their boat for this journey for a great charitable cause please contact us here or via our website at www.easternpariverrunners.com

Thanks

Re:Safety/Support Boat Needed:

Does anyone out there with a 18 foot or larger boat want to help some of our combat injured Marines? It is a great cause and it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Additional Safety/Support Needed

You might try getting in touch with Shawn Alladio to see if she knows anyone who might be able to help in your area with a support boat. She trains water rescue crews all over the world and knows tons of folks who would likely step up and help.

Email her at K38Rescue@aol.com I know she's headed to the King's river soon to put on another swift water training session so try to catch her before she splits. Once she's on a project, it's hard to reach her.

If Lisa's recomendation dosnt work out...Call your local USPS ( United States Power Squradron )...They are great in terms of event safety support !!!

If you cant find a local chapter visit http://www.usps.org e-mail them or call them & the main office will put you in contact with the local chapter !!!

Good Luck !!!

Re: Additional Safety/Support Needed

Watson, You might want to try the Coast Guard also. Just another thing for you, Have you contacted the local authorities and warned them ahead of time that you have a mass ride heading for DC? Maybe Chris Manthos could help you out also with a support boat as he has tons of contacts in our area. Mike
