junk b1 build

well picked this ski up that was tore up.. trashed not worth fixing but im fixing it.

when i bought the ski it had a bunch of cracks stress everywhere.
main reason i bought it was for the motor... i was going to throw int back into the hull it came from witch was don morning stars race sj.

i will get into the motor towards the end..

but at first i started on the bottom of the ski.. pictures dont do this ski justice it was tore up.

started this monday worked on it for 4 hrs each nite till now. i am on a deadline so i have to get this done before feb 15th when the new ski arrives.

first nite tore the ski apart.. 2nd crap load of sanding miro bubbling and reinforcing.

cleanded with some actone
micro bubbles. alot of sanding time
cleaned with actone
primed the ski sanded down with some 320 then went to 500 then 600

next time for some paint.
decided to go with some orange on the bottom then black top and clear

i was going to take it to work to paint it but decided its just the bottom.

cut the tray out so i could reforce the back . and the foot trays due to heavy cracks

also took a pic of what the inside of the motor looked like i even cleanded it some.. the motor was just as bad as that..

welll glassed in the back tray and then went to work on the inside the outside has tons of stress cracks and actuall cracks on the topdeck

i bubbled the bond rail and then reinforced the sides. and nose

well after getting it completly done reinforcing the ski its time to flip it back and start on the topdeck now. i gota sand down the extra fiberglass on the sides . and then go threw and fix everything up top blocking off the oil gauge. and a few other things. i hope i can get the ski into work this week so i can paint it in the booth.

yeah it looks good i wet sanded the letters so you wont fill the lines then i recleared it. on the top its going to be the same orange and im going to do some black to make it pop out. im unsure if i want to paint the hood all black or all orange..

to help decided if you want to paint the hood you can kinda get an idea on the exotic signs web site... Just black out the bottom then make the top all orange then toggle back and forth between the balck and orange hood
