angled pisser?

anyone know where I can get a 45 degree angled pisser for the WB1? The current one I have sprays the water parallel to the side of the ski and I'd rather having it shooting outwards, away from my new paint job. I've searched and can't find much......maybe the proper name for a "pisser" would help? I doubt that's Yamaha's official name for them!

Are these an easy switch out? Do I need a new seal or gasket to go around the hole prior to installing the new one?

Thank you!!

Re: angled pisser?

no seal. no gasket. the stock rubber ones pop right out. the metal ones should fit right in. you may have to boar out the hole a little. and a little RTV wont hurt to seal it.

Re: angled pisser?

could you post a pic of where your pisser water comes from (i.e. out of the motor)... i have a 94 with no pisser and would like to install one for peace of mind.

Sure, you can see it in the pic below on the port side just below the hood line. It is silver in color.

Re: angled pisser?

I just re-read your post and realized you're looking for an inside pic showing it from the motor, probably not the outside! (duh!!) I will try and get that later for ya. Sorry about that! Mine may be a little different from yours as mine has lines coming from both the motor and pipe. Not sure if it's the same for stock?

Re: angled pisser?

Here you go.....in the photo below (pardon the dust, currently cleaning up my fresh buy!) you'll see the blue line running horizontally parallel to the pipe. To the left, it goes along the pipe a few more inches and terminates into the bottom side of the pipe via a 90 degree fitting. Then, you see it T off in the middle, the blue one going up and terminating just at the end of the pipe and the black one off to the right out to the pisser.

Hope this helps. Sorry again about the earlier post of the outside...at least you can see that too, LOL!!!

Re: angled pisser?

I started out with 90* pissers. Whoever installed them pointed them back. This did 3 things.
1. It hit the paint
2. It hit my foot (way too hot)
3. It hit me in the face when trying to mount or restart it.

I replaced them with 45* pissers and aimed them toward the front and down at about 45*. No more problems.
