new x2 guy

Wow, this Darkside thing... once you go, may as well go big! (where's the cookies?)

Here's what showed up, an '88 (blue) and a '91 (white) on this nice little trailer. tool box needs a little work, no biggie. The motor in the white 1 is complete down to the oilpump. has a westcoast exhaust and a pjs rideplate.

The motor in the blue 1 is broken, see pic. has a pjs waterbox in it, and both hulls are in pretty good shape from what i see so far.

current plan is to "borrow" the good motor for my son's 550/650, so i can have the kid skis done in case I have to leave for work.

i have a 62t/61x big bore motor just sitting on my shelf... hmmm

the blue engine isn't broken, it's just "completeness-challenged"!

Re: new x2 guy

Show us a picture of the white ones carb side. It looks ike it might have an aftermarket setup on it. It looks like the broken one has a BN mikuni carb which means it has an aftermarket intake.

Re: new x2 guy

wow, your guy's attention to detail is friggin AMAZING!!!! the white 1 does have a bn44 on it, but i have an sbn here for it. i looked in the tool box better, found the exhaust from the blue 1 and 2 probly stock intakes and a keihn carb.

When the 'glass guy starts doing the mojo on my boat, i'll be doing the 1.5" trim on at least the white 1. still doing the reading for the hood mods, would be nice to do that too.

thanks guys, ya'll are incredible.

edit- blue 1 has a bn38? under the hood.

Re: new x2 guy

I know on SBN's , three bolts on top mean 38 and four bolts on top mean 44. Sounds like you already know that SBN's the way to go.
