How to make a tiny spot into a giant hole

This might be common knowledge, but it's straight new to me.

On the multi-box electrical systems (pre 91), when mounting the voltage regulator, mount it with the regulator body facing up into the case, and not hanging down into the 'lid'. All of the X2's I've ever worked on have had the regulator pointing 'down' and it's always been a chore to get all of them wires in there without pinching them.

Mount it 'face up' and there's a TON of room afterwards.

Or I'm just a complete idiot.

thought so... Goes with putting the engine in, hooking everything up, and realiing you didn't hook up the waterlines to the thru-hull fittings....

Tomorrows job, maybe.
