GPS fun!

I ignored the Tsunami warnings and took my ski for a test ride after fixing hull cracks, fitting tubbies, rear exhaust, DG water box & MSD water injection. Ski ran great! Water was not flat enough for fine tuning, but was still okay to try some top speed runs with the new GPS toy!

I never measured speed before the last mods, but rpms were topping out around 6,400. Now they're up around 6,900/7,000!

Peak speed was...... 44mph! Bit disappointing, but it wasn't on glass, and I am running a big bore nozzle and old skool 16 skat!

As a reference, my mate's 100% stock Gen2 800 peaked out at 49mph!

Anyone else GPS'd they're X-2???

Re: GPS fun!

Mee too! My 650 is holding its own against the 800 in midrange, but low end and top end are no contest. The 800 has the cubes!

Re: GPS fun!

I took out the ski after getting the 46's to fit in the hull. I had it set-up fat,air temp 50,water 45,and wind 15,so I didn't do a lot of tuning, but it felt faster than the 52 before with the 38's
