elec bilge pumps

need advice on setting up a elec bilge pump, is a power regulator required to keep a steady power flow and where is the best place to hook the wires up to

Just an on/off switch... Connect to the battery.

A thought for you to consider....If the ski is going to be ridden by anyone other than yourself you might consider an automatic bilge pump. I have them (2) on any boat that I let friends/girlfriend ride.

I have had good luck with a rule float switch on my skis. Just take a small peice of hydroturf and glue it down to the hull so the flapper wont slam...works GREAT, no issues for 3+ years now. this way you cant leave it on, or forget to turn it on and get a swamped ski!
