Best Pitch/best deal impeller

Hey guys, Im finally rebuilding my x2, and ive been buying parts and all, and now Im looking for everyones oppinion for what impeller to buy for it. Heres a list of everything thats being done to it as soon as I get the engine from SBT

Its a 650, and so far I have a 44mm BN (to be rejetted to accommodate parts bolted on) on a jetsport manifold, carbon tech reeds, westcoast exhaust manifold and pipe, drilled stock waterbox, i cut 1 1/2" off the back and matched the stock rideplaate and will be d-cutting it, planning to buy a RCJS tri scoop grate, will be fitted with dougs trim (awaiting arrival not that Im in need yet), wet wolf freestyle cone, and Im planning to buy an afermarket head (Just not sure what to buy, I want to run 93 octane at 38/40:1)

Any suggestions on what pitch and where to buy it at!?

If you have a head, or a good reccomendation on that as well, please share also, thanks guys!

That is a nice list of parts and you'll get some power from them but what type of riding do you want to do? (fastest across the lake, waves, all around?)

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

15.5 - 16 pitch prop would be good, i am running similar setup on my back-up ski and i am running a 15.5 but you really want to get rid of that BN carb. those are junk and not worth the hassel.

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

They say a stock sxi prop (9-17) machined down to match the 650 pump works excellent. Do a search, theres a wealth of knowledge here. I have never run the 9-17, but a 15.5, 16, or 13-16 old skool props, which I have run work good too. I think I have a 16 and 16.5 laying around.

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

I mostly ride a lake, I like to carve around and what not but thats what my uncles x is for, Im usualy found trailing boats and jumping their wakes or doing tail stands, bunny hopping buoy's, that type of thing. Im looking to maximixe bottom to mid I guess.

Whats so wrong with my BN, I was planning to just rebuild it this spring, rejet it however someone else reccomends me to, and tune it in. Its worked for me for 3 years. I rode it for a summer and a half untill I blew up, and then my uncle rode it on his for all last summer. Im just wondering whats bad about them?

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

if you find a used scat 16p straight blade, that would work well, even better would be a scat 9-17 ( for the 650 pump).

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

What about those swirls from impros, is that an option too? or not what im looking for? Ive read pretty much I should be looking for a 15.5 or a 9/17, which of those would be better for me, and I dont even understand the difference lol, sorry for the ignorance.

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

Scat 15.5 or a 16 , or a 9/17 or a solas 13/18.
The BN's just dont have the umph of a SBN.
Any high comp head will work , just find the cheapest that will give you 175 - 185 PSI.
Run 50:1 oil.

Re: Best Pitch/best deal impeller

the BN carb pressurizes the fuel tank in order to push fuel into the carb which leaves many areas of problems and air leaks preventing fuel from getting to the carb. Ideally you want no air leaks at all. the SBN has a diaphragm that pulses or pulls fuel into the carb which is more efficient and makes more sense.
