| about to rebuild a 650 motor , need advice ......., well i finally got the entire motor tore apart and cleaned up and im about to put it all back together with new gaskets and seals from SBT , but i noticed it didnt come with a gasket to go in'between the case's , should i just seal it with 1211 ?
also is there any other tips you guys have to help out ?

j/k, 1211 is fine. dont forget to grease the lips of the seals and put grease between the seals.
no grease on the outer edge of the seals, though... |

| Re: about to rebuild a 650 motor , need advice ......., im a lil concerned about this though , its were one of the bearings sit on the upper case half , i cant feel anything with my finger and the bearing showns no signs of something bad . what do you guys think about this ?

| Re: about to rebuild a 650 motor , need advice ......., 3 seals, starting from the fornt of the crank:-
1st is spring forward
2nd is spring forward
3rd is spring rearward (double lip seal)
So you see springs at both ends when installed...
That last pic should be where a seal goes... Looks like some corrosion... A small amount of 1211 when closing the cases should do the trick!
If I'm wrong I'm sure I'll be corrected swiftly! Probably by WB!

| Re: about to rebuild a 650 motor , need advice ......., Sorry, now I get it! That's one of the centre bearings! Looks like some corrosion, and it may have spun a little at some point... I'd probably put a little loctite or 1211 on there during assembly...
