650 flywheel on a big pin?

OK I 've heard both ways now. Will a 650 flywheel fit on a 750 big pin just like on a small pin or are they different tapers?

I am pretty sure they are different tapers. I think you would somehow have to get the 650 electronics to fit in a a 750 the way they do a 650.

Re: 650 flywheel on a big pin?

I 'm not worried about the electronics. I've modified many a small pin motors to take 650 electronics. I have however heard that the big pin and small pin crankshafts have a different taper. True or false. Do I need to call myth busters? I have one vote for yes it will fit . Thanks POM. anyone else want to vote?

I am almost positive that is what BruceinSB is running. I just texted him to confirm.

Re: 650 flywheel on a big pin?

I appreciate the help. I'd hate to eat another stator due to a loose flywheel. Kind of puts a damper on the days ride. I getting ready to put a big pin in one of my x2's and I have a 650 RAD wheel I'd like to put on there to make up for the overweight crankshaft

Re: 650 flywheel on a big pin?

Maybe this will help you?

The taper is from different sides of the flywheel.
