Re: 550 lanyard on a 86 x2?

um, there IS a ebox on a X2... it's just separate into 3 different pieces... The 550 wiring is pretty different; just get a 650ts lanyard face plate and bolt it right on - no wiring needed

TS faceplates are like finding teeth in a hens mouth. You can use the one you have just splice the wires. Make sure you splice them in a spot where water wont get to it.

Yes , you have a 550 lanyard on/off switch setup correct? Fasten it to your handlebars and splice it into the X2 on/off wireing. Splice it inside the hull somewhere where it wont get wet.

Re: 550 lanyard on a 86 x2?

Just run it right to where the old wires went! Put new ends on the 550 wires and its plug and play. It is very very easy. I run the sxr style on all my skis.
