38 vs 28

Are the reeds the same for the 38mm and 28mm carbs on the 650's

Yes. There were a few early 650's that had stainless reeds and the rest were fiber and all were interchangeable.

and if you ahve stainless reeds replace them with fiber before one goes through your engine and enjoys a taste of your head and pistons.
